Belief breaks boundaries, feeding

hope to all those needing…

As if (the shedding of my skins)

As if (an atonement of my sins)

As if dawn stamps out the night

As if turning self-outside-in

can internalize some small light…

Like,

if heart forgets, and bones bleached white,

the weight will dissipate,

and soul, take leap of faith

As if-

The redemption, and renunciation, unique to death

life can somehow duplicate,

As if, memories don’t settle in our pores, and breath,

faithful friends, they reiterate-

a timeline, where time surrenders, to regret’s raging wrath…

The past holds on tight,

(as if you ever tried to fight)

Every dawn, in the end,

relents to steadfast night.
