In the wanting, there’s a greif-
nothing comes for free they say-
I built a wall, I cast a seive-
I want to burn my bones, believe,
in all the dreams that come today…
If you cast hopes into the sky,
The ocean will have rain for weeks-
the salty drops of clouds that cry,
for all the human yearns and seeks.
If kindness kills, then so do dreams-
The only push to keep us going.
If time just stills, the earth would scream
with all the pain that comes with knowing.
I sawed my soul in half today-
To set free all the need within it-
It clawed out its way,
This unbearable weight,
and still, I am no lighter for it.
